After nine years of being ignored by my husband, I had a few affairs just to feel something again.
Eventually he did find out, and when confronted, I looked him in the eye and lied without flinching.
I wanted to divorce him without carrying the guilt of what I’d done.
He had never treated me well, and nothing I did ever seemed to be enough for him. At the time, it felt fair. It still does. I don’t regret the affairs, and I don’t feel guilty about the lies.
